- I began taking TKD years ago with my son. Although he discontinued, I found the demanding and physical exercise highly beneficial and continued. Spring 2008 afforded me the opportunity to achieve my Black Belt. I have become familiar with Hikuta recently and have high regards for it. Krav Maga is the official self-defense and fighting system of the Israeli Defense Forces. I received my teaching certification for SmartSafe, Women's Commando Krav Maga in NYC March 2010. I love to speak to women's groups on Women's Self Defense. "Oh that every woman knew how to defend herself and would!" -Regina.
